Vote for NASA for better Kenya, Raila tells Samburu

NASA candidate Raila Odinga yesterday urged Samburu residents to vote for him.
Speaking in Yare Grounds, Raila expressed confidence he will win on August 8 andhe will get 99 per cent of votes in Samburu county this time round. In 2013, he had 58 per cent.
“I know Samburu people are tired of this government. Even those admitted in hospitals should be ferried to polling stations using boda bodas to kick out UhuRuto,” Raila said. He told pastoralists that the the Jubilee administration has marginalised them.
“In the Mt Kenya region, the government has paid off coffee and tea loans and recently Sh1 billion was given to miraa farmers to boost their cash crops. What about the Samburu people?” Raila asked.
He said NASA will treat Kenyans equally in terms of development, security and distribution of resources.
NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka urged the Samburus “to retaliate against the loss of your livestock by not voting for any candidate vying on the Jubilee ticket”.
He accused Samburu leaders of being used by the Jubilee administration like puppets to the extent that they forget to fight for their people. His sentiments were shared by Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi.
