The Kenyan community in Diaspora that demands a real democratic Kenya is in support of the creation of the People’s Assemblies to take power from corrupt cartels and place it into the people’s hands where it constitutionally belongs.
We believe that electoral justice is imperative for a stable, fair, united, and prosperous Kenya. We also believe in an open, inclusive, transformation, people driven political dialogue that will ensure every vote cast by a living Kenyan based on one person one vote counts.
We, NASA supporters in Diaspora intend to participate in determining how Kenyan communities can co-exist peacefully as one people without tribal chauvinism.
We are aware that the people voted for Raila Amolo Odinga to be president of Kenya on August 8th, 2017, but the corrupt cartels under Jubilee through the IEBC manipulated and altered the people’s voting result to show otherwise. The issue of tempering with the vote was litigated in Kenya’s Apex Court and found to be true.
This led to the nullification of the declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta as president. The Supreme Court ordered repeat election with strict adherence to both the Constitution and elections Act; this meant that the IEBC was to align its approach to the election based on the constitution and the elections Act. IEBC with the support of Jubilee ignored the Court order and conducted the repeat election under similar predetermined results as on August 8th, 2017.
It is not lost to us that the IEBC ignored the Apex Court’s order to open the servers for scrutiny of the August 8th, 2017 election, yet they speedily opened the servers to share the results of a sham October 26th, 2017 exercise.
It is therefore only fitting for Diaspora NASA supporters to support the declaration of Raila Amolo Odinga as the people’s president. We hope that this will result in meaningful national dialogue that will guarantee lasting electoral justice in Kenya. The citizens of Kenya deserve no less. Only the People’s Assemblies which we support can reinstitute the People’s supremacy in guaranteeing lasting electoral Justice.
