Suspected M-Pesa shops robber killed

Nairobi, Kenya: A man described by police as notorious for raiding M-Pesa shops was shot dead in a botched robbery in Kamukunji, Nairobi.

According to the police, the suspect, in the company of three accomplices, had tried to rob an M-Pesa shop when an alarm was raised.

His accomplices managed to escape on foot.

During the shooting incident, police said a dog was killed by a stray bullet.

Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome said the man was wanted for at least six robberies on M-Pesa shops in the area.
