Sombre Jamhuri Day

This year’s Jamhuri day was celebrated in a sad note a day after several people perished in the N’airobi -Nakuru highway near Naivasha fire tragedy where a tanker ferrying a highly inflammable substance literally exploded and caused the death of 41 kenyans, including 11 General Service Unit Recce Squad officers, the elite corps from which the Presidential bodyguard is drawn and injuring scores.

The tanker blew up on impact at Kinungi, Naivasha.

Speaking in kisii county at Sameta subcounty Norah Nyamwamu Ombui who is a woman representative aspirant in the coming general election that is to be held on August 8th 2017 called upon people to go get registered in large numbers to be voters when the exercise begins.

She called upon youths and women to form self help groups to benefit from the funds allocated to them, she added that
She will come up with programs to empower girlchild to reduce the number of girls that endulge in prostitution in the county.

She will also ensure development reaches mwananchi and help Levelise the itumbe stadium grounds where celebrationsare held and also that she will nature talents like the groups that performed at the event.

Hon. Mogusu Omari aspirant MP bobasi who also spoke at the event said that when there is bad leadership we get poor development ,he urged mwananchi to Make wise decisions when voting in leaders come 2017. The two leaders sent condolences to the Naivasha tragedy Victims.
