Senator Emma Mbura ditches Jubilee

Nominated Senator Emma Mbura has announced she has ditched Jubilee Party to join Maendeleo Chap Chap.

She accused coast Jubilee leaders of blocking her bid to vie for the Rabai parliamentary seat on the party ticket.

She accused a Jubilee point man she did not name of frustrating her ambition “because I am a woman”.

“They wanted a male candidate but I will defeat them,” she said.

She said she consulted voters who advised her to join Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua’s party.

She thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for nurturing her into a “mature politician.”

Mr Mutua is expected to welcome Ms Mbura to the party at Rabai.
