Police probe murder of boy in Huruma

Police officers are investigating the murder of a two-year-old boy in Huruma, Nairobi County.

The body of the child was found dumped at a construction site and was discovered by churchgoers.

Buruburu OCPD Geoffrey Maiyek said the boy was strangled with a leso.

“He was probably killed at night but we are investigating the matter,” Mr Maiyek said, and called on the public to provide police with information.

Mr Maiyek said no one had filed a missing person report with police.

The boy was dressed in brown trousers, a navy blue T-shirt, black sport shoes and a grey hoodie.

The leso was still around the boy’s neck.

The body is at City Mortuary.
