NASA disputes the live presidential result on IEBC website as it calls on the commission to verify form 34As.

Musalia Mudavadi and Siaya Senator James Orengo had initially told off IEBC about the results at the Bomas of Kenya, insisting that the results on display were not genuine.

The NASA leaders vowed to stop the transmission of results until forms 34As are verified but IEBC remained firm that suspending of the results transmission could cause tension in the country.

NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga termed the IEBC results transmission as totally unacceptable and illegal since the results were not supported by any evidence.

Raila said the issue had earlier been raised with the commission’s ICT team.

“The system has failed and it’s the machine that is voting,” he said adding that they do not know the origin of the results being streamed so far and that the live streaming of results must be suspended until the forms 34As are availed.

But in a quick rejoinder, Raphael Tuju dismissed NASA reminding the coalition that it advocated for change of law to allow final results be announced by Presiding and Returning officers at the station.

“Announcement by presiding officers and returning officers is final and court ruled on that, why change now. We have also not received the forms but respecting the law,’” he said.
