Acting Interior Coordination Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiangi, has said that he will not hesitate to arrest National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, if he breaks the law.
Addressing journalists after attending a security meeting in Kajiado County on Wednesday
Matiangi said Raila Odinga is an ordinary Kenyan and should he break the law, he will be arrested and sent to jail.
“No one is above the law leave alone Raila Odinga.”
“I don’t like issuing ultimatums, I act.”
“Let them continue breaking the law, we shall come for them,” he said, in reference to Raila’s call for IEBC protests.
The no-nonsense Cabinet Secretary maintained that the Government will not reinstate security officers withdrawn from Odinga.
He added that he will deal with anyone who may attempt to protest the Government’s action.
Opposition MPs led by Suba MP, John Mbadi, had vowed to wage protests over the withdrawal of police officers attached to Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.
