National Super Alliance (NASA) Principal Kalonzo Musyoka is expected to travel back home on Saturday.
Reports in Capital Digital and the Star indicate that Wiper Party leader will be traveling back from Germany to attend the burial of the late Kitui West Member of Parliament Francis Nyenze who died on December 6 2017.
The former National Assembly Minority Leader died at Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with Colon cancer.
Following Nyenze’s death, Musyoka penned an emotional letter mourning the deceased as a great leader who was full of commitment.
“As Leader of Minority in the 11th Parliament, Hon. Nyenze served the country with great commitment and dedication.
“His non-confrontational, gentlemanly mien was a great asset in helping to build bridges among political protagonists.
“In the departure of Hon. Nyenze, the Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya fraternity in particular, and Kenyans, in general, have lost a great leader,” Kalonzo stated.
The late MP will be buried on Tuesday 19 December 2017 in Kyondoni, Kabati.
Mr Musyoka will also travel to Arusha to attend his son Kennedy Musyoka’s inauguration after he was elected to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
Kennedy was elected on Thursday night after garnering 309 votes making him one of the NASA candidates being sent to the regional assembly.
Other Opposition candidates include; Oburu Oginga who got 243 votes, Abdikadir Aden (235 votes) and Fatuma Ibrahim who got 142 votes.
This will be his first return to Kenya after he traveled to Germany in September in support of his ailing wife Pauline Musyoka.
