Governor Joseph Ndathi names Reuben Ndegwa as running mate

Kirinyaga Governor Joseph Ndathi has unveiled Australia-educated Reuben Ndegwa as his running mate.

Ndegwa, who is a Nairobi businessman hails from the vote-rich Mwea Sub-county and was escorted by residents to the governor’s office in Kutus town before he was unveiled.

The running mate had earlier declared his intention to oppose Ndathi but dropped changed his mind after he was prevailed upon to back down.

”Upon being asked to drop my gubernatorial ambitions, I went down on my knees and sought God’s guidance,” he said.

Ndegwa said his wealth of managerial skills will be fully utilised in making the county great.
