Catholic bishops have urged the Government to urgently resolve the bloody land dispute along the volatile Transmara East and West border.
The conflict pitting residents of Njipiship and Shartuka has so far claimed 10 lives and left about 50 houses torched.
Catholic Justice and Peace Commission chair Cornelius Korir (Eldoret Diocese) and Daniel Obala of Ngong Diocese also urged the National Land Commission and politicians to speed up resolution of the conflict between Maasai and Kipsigis communities.
“We are going to meet all the political leaders from the two communities in order to ensure that they are at the forefront of promoting peace and harmony among their people since they were put together as neighbours by God and nobody can change that,” said Bishop Korir.
