Asman Kamama ditches Jubilee, joins Maendeleo Chap Chap

Tiaty MP Asman Kamama has ditched President Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party as pressure piles on him to resign as chairman of the National Assembly’s Security Committee.

Mr Kamama has now joined Governor Alfred Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap party as he seeks to defend his seat in troubled Baringo County.

He crossed over on Monday morning at the Mandeleo Chap Chap party’s headquarters in Nairobi even after denying the plan last week.

Mr Kamama will be facing the Reverend Simon Kiuta, who is eyeing the Jubilee ticket, and Baringo County Assembly Speaker William Kamket, who wants to run on Kanu Kanu ticket in the August polls.
