According to Itoloni Chief Freconah Kithikii, the girl’s leg and hand had been chopped off. Part of the head had also been skinned.

Villagers who had been mobilised to look for the girl stumbled on the body at 11am.

“We are told that she got lost on Friday after separating with other children while they were coming from a nearby shopping centre but the heartless manner in which she was killed has shocked everybody,” said Kithikii.

She said the Class Four pupil lived with her grandmother.
