“You Betrayed Kipsigis By Decamping to Jubilee, You Are A coward”- KNUT Boss Sossion Tells Governor Ruto

Knut secretary general Wilson Sossion has lashed at former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto following the latter’s return to the Jubilee Party.

The union leader said it was upsetting for the ex-county boss to form Chama cha Mashinani only to abandon its cause halfway.

“The moment he (Rutto) jumped ship and decided to back Jubilee, he lost his political legacy,” Sossion told the Star on Saturday.

“Elders blessed him and even bestowed him with a title as the Kipsigis spokesman but now he has betrayed them…too bad for him.”

“What was the point of forming CCM if he knew he will abandon the cause?” the teachers union boss asked.

In its formative stages, Rutto said his party would mainly champion for 45 per cent of national revenue to be channeled to the counties.

Sossion said the former governor’s decision will not in any way influence him to change his political stance ahead of the October 17 vote.

“I am a firm member of ODM and will not shift to any other party anytime soon,” the nominated MP added.

Rutto on Friday joined President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto for a political rally at the historic Kapkatet grounds.

While there, he said: “I felt lonely. I found myself alone and I have now decided to come back.”

“Uhuru and Ruto talked to me into coming back,” he said, adding that he will be working with Jubilee ahead of the repeat election.
