National Supper Alliance co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has rubbished claims that the coalition is facing hurdles in naming its flag-bearer.
Mr Mudavadi said the deadline for submitting names of presidential candidates has not yet elapsed.
“We are not taking too long to name our flag-bearer because the IEBC timeline to submit the names of the presidential candidates has not yet elapsed,” Mr Mudavadi said.
Deputy President William Ruto has repeatedly said at various rallies that the Opposition is not fit to lead because it is unable to select a flag-bearer.
But speaking at Avenue Hospital in Kisumu where he visited former minister Joseph Otiende on Sunday, Mr Mudavadi said there is still time to decide of who will carry the flag.
Additionally, he urged Kenyans to register as voters before the closure of the activity on February 14.
The ANC leader said he will back the presidential candidate who will be chosen, and that Nasa will remain united.
“I was the brainchild of Nasa. And I midwifed it, hence cannot run away from my child,” he said.
He is in Kisii to urge residents to register as voters.
He was accompanied by MPs Yusuf Chanzu (Vihiga), Ayub Savula (Lugari) and Amani National Congress national chairman Kelvin Lunani.
The ANC, ODM, Wiper and Ford-Kenya form Nasa.
