Uhuru convenes first sitting of Senate, National Assembly

 

President Uhuru Kenyatta has convened first sitting of both houses of the 12th Parliament, key on the agenda being swearing-in of members and election of Speakers.

Both the National Assembly and Senate will sit on August 31 from 2.30pm as contained in a gazette notice dated August 23.

The Members of Parliament from 288 constituencies were also published in a gazette notice on August 23, paving way for the President to convene the first sitting.
