Uhuru camps in Coast for re-election bid

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto take their re-election campaign to Kilifi and Mombasa counties today.

The duo will start with a rally in Malindi before heading to Jomvu as the battle for the 1.7 million coast votes heighten.

The duo are expected to also tour Tana, River, Lamu, Kwale and Taita Taveta counties in the next three days.

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, a key National Super Alliance (Nasa) kingpin at the coast has also organised a caravan in the county today to consolidate the opposition support.

The coast which is perceived to be a Nasa stronghold has become a major battle ground as Jubilee leaders make frequent forays to penetrate the region.

Mr Odinga accused Jubilee of stealing public funds.
