A boys’ swimming expedition in Lake Naivasha ended tragically after a 10-year-old drowned.

Two others were saved by a group of fishermen and rushed to a nearby health centre. The boys were swimming near Karuturi flower farm when the tragedy struck.

Their screams attracted the fishermen, who rushed to their rescue. Meanwhile, police in Naivasha have expressed concern over increased cases of bodies being dumped in the area.

Last week, bodies of three men were recovered in two different parts of the town. The police have recovered more than 20 bodies in the town this year.

The police say the victims were killed elsewhere and their bodies dumped in Naivasha.
