See you in Nairobi CBD, Nasa MPs tell Fred Matiang’i

A clash between police and opposition supporters is looming large in the streets of Nairobi on Friday.

Hours after the government banned anti-IEBC demonstrations in the capital’s central business district, opposition MPs vowed to lead the protests in the city centre.

The lawmakers allied to the National Super Alliance (Nasa) on Thursday said their protests in the CBD were unstoppable.

Addressing the media at Parliament Buildings, the MPs accused Interior acting Cabinet Secretary of  usurping the Constitution by banning protests.
