Sarit Centre in Sh4 billion expansion plan


As the mall business gets more competitive, Soma Properties owned Sarit Centre has announced a Sh4 billion upgrading and extension plan.

This comes after the owners received the expansion approval last year. Since its opening in 1984, the Sarit centre has remained among the top shopping destination for affluent clients who have now been tapped by new malls in various city estates.

According Nitin Shah, a director, the construction will involve bringing up a new mall adjacent to the current one, enhance the retail space with larger conferencing halls, multi-storey car parking area, a roof top garden expansive leisure spaces and exhibition spaces.

He said they looking for ways to keep visitors at the mall long way after 6pm. The new space will also involve international retailers who have recently expanded into the country.
