Police arrest three people on electoral malpractice claims

Three people are in police custody after being found in possession of voter transfer forms in Eastleigh.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) said it is unlawful for anyone to engage in electoral activities without the agency’s authority.

On its Twitter page, IEBC clarified claims propagated on social media as to the actual events that occurred.

“They are in custody for being in possession of copies of transfer forms and not biometric voter registration kit as alleged.”

The polls body added that investigations ae under way, therefore, Kenyans should maintain calm.
