Peter Munya: I did not lose to Kiraitu Murungi

Peter Munya has refused to concede defeat to Kiraitu Murungi in Meru gubernatorial race.

Mr Munya, who defended his seat on his Party of National Unity ticket, on Wednesday said the results as announced by IEBC were fraudulent.

The poll outcome, he claimed, was computer-generated to favour Mr Murungi of Jubilee.

Addressing the press at his home, the incumbent vowed to take the battle for Meru to court.

“We are going to join forces with other Kenyans in restoring the democracy,” he said.

He was accompanied by his running mate Peter Kaberia and PNU Senate candidate Mugambi Imanyara.
