Over 50 teachers in Trans Nzoia quit to seek local elective seats

Over 50 teachers have quit teaching to test waters in Trans Nzoia politics. Two secondary school principals have resigned to vie for gubernatorial seat.

Those seeking to unseat Governor Patrick Khaemba are former principal of St Anthony Boys Cosmas Nabungolo and his Biribirit counterpart Bethwel Kirior.

The former Principal of Masaba High School in Kiminini Andrew Wafula is eyeing the senatorial seat held by Henry ole Ndiema.

University lecturer Susan Nakumicha and former teacher Christine Tanguli turned pastor are seeking to unseat Janet Nangabo as the woman representative.
