More defectors left the Opposition for Jubilee Party during the Jubilee campaigns in Tononoka grounds, Mombasa. The defecting members included Tana River Governor Hussein Dado and Woman Rep Joyce Lay.

The Jubilee Party has decided to intensify campaigns in perceived NASA strongholds. Does this mean that NASA is going to lose its strong influence in Mombasa County?

If Jubilee succeeds in luring more people to defect, they then can be assured of more votes come August. However, it might be a case of leaders defecting rather than the people. Despite the large number of people at the rally, it does not mean everyone present had quit the Opposition.
