A lorry driver from Mweiga will serve a two-year sentence or pay a Sh100, 000 fine for causing death by reckless driving.

Wahome Muthee was also convicted for failing to report the accident which occurred in Amboni Village on May 17, 2014 and which led to the death of Justus King’ori.

After a three-year trail, Resident Magistrate Ruth Kefa yesterday sentenced Wahome to two years in jail after finding him guilty of dangerous driving. In defence, Wahome blamed the narrow road.
