NASA to pitch tent in North Rift region

The Opposition will campaign in the North Rift region. The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga and the opposition brigade will camp in Elgeyo Marakwet, Uasin Gishu, and Nandi counties, the bedrock of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto.

The Opposition, which gained mileage after a section of sitting and former MPs announced their support for NASA and launched a caravan to popularise the outfit, is targeting a long-shot 50 per cent of the votes in the region.

The region’s NASA coordinator, Pius Kidombo, claimed that the region was no longer a Jubilee stronghold and that the Raila-led NASA enjoyed ‘a huge following’.
