Former President Daniel Moi has send his message of condolence to the Nkaissery family, President Uhuru Kenyatta, people of Kenya and Maasai community at large following the untimely death of Interior Cabinet Secretary General (Rtd) Joseph Nkaissery.
In his message the former President said he learnt of the death of Nkaissery with shock and disbelieve.
He described Nkaissery as a man who served this country with exceptional energy and dedication.
Chief Justice David Maraga has joined other leaders in mourning Nkaissery. Maraga says the Judiciary is grateful for the services he rendered as a military officer, political leader and Cabinet Secretary.
“On behalf of my family and the entire Judiciary, I wish to express our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends, and indeed the people of Kenya, for this great loss,” said Maraga in a press statement.
NASA leader Raila Odinga has send condolence message to family of CS Nkaissery, saying his death is a huge loss for Kenya and the Maasai people.

Raila described Nkaissery as a political giant in a region that has produced many, adding that his loss will be felt for years to come.
“I offer my deepest-felt condolences to his family and loved ones. The entire NASA community is also grief-stricken and we all wish to send our joint condolences to the family and the Kenyan nation”.
“But of course he applied himself to all aspects of our security with an unparalleled commitment. Whenever duty called, he was there in an instant. He brought this commitment to the security docket after taking it over at a time the country was facing immense security challenges. He left a huge mark. His passion for tackling security challenges came to the fore as never before when he was appointed Assistant minister for defense in the grand coalition government,” read part of the NASA statement.
