Homa Bay women rep in trouble for using ‘matako’ slur against Uhuru

-Gladys Wanga has been summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission(NCIC) over her verbal attack against President Uhuru Kenyatta

– NCIC has asked Wanga to appear before the commission at their offices on Friday, October 6, 2017, to assist in an ongoing investigation

– The development comes barely days after Babu Owino was arrested and charged for his ‘Mtoto Wa Mbwa’ remarks,believed to have been targeting president Uhuru Kenyatta Homa Bay County Women Representative Gladys Wanga has been summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission(NCIC) over her verbal attack against President Uhuru Kenyatta during a Nasa rally in Dagoretti North on Monday, September 25, 2017.

In a letter written on Wednesday, October 4, and addressed to the vocal politician, the NCIC asked Wanga to appear before the commission at their offices on Friday, October 6, 2017, to assist in an ongoing investigation.

According to the letter seen by KDRTV.com, the NCIC was acting following complaints against Wanga’s ‘matako’ slur against Uhuru during the NASA rally.

The letter specifically noted Wanga’s utterances, adding that she will be committing an offense if she fails to appear before the commission on the aforementioned date.

“Tumeona Uhuru anamangamanga amelewa mbaka anajikuna matako hana heshima kwa Wakenya huyo, hana heshima ata kidogo. Anajikuna alafu anasalamia Ruto, wanaleta kipindupindu,” Wanga was quoted. READ ALSO: Moses Kuria ‘insults Raila’ again as he campaigns for Uhuru

The development comes barely days after Babu Owino was arrested and charged for his ‘Mtoto Wa Mbwa’ remarks, believed to have been targeting president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Babu Owino was however released on bail after cooling his heels behind bars for two nights.The legislator recently revealed that he was forced to apologize to Uhuru Kenyatta while facing Mount Kenya while in police custody.
