The family of former provincial commissioner Isaiah Cheluget has maintained that his funeral service will go on despite a court order issued against it on Monday.

Members of the Kapecherek clan vowed to continue with the burial programme as scheduled despite a court order barring it.

The Cheluget home in Kusumek village in Bureti constituency was a hive of activity.

Elders and Cheluget’s sons, led by David Langat, said they were not concerned about the court order and were busy putting the final touches to the funeral arrangements.
