Aspirants seeking the Jubilee Party ticket to vie for parliamentary seats in Kakamega might get direct nomination.

Only Malava is likely to hold Jubilee primaries. There are 12 constituencies in the county. “In most constituencies, we have one aspirant for the MP’s seat,” said Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali, the Jubilee point man in the county.

He said the confusion in the National Super Alliance (NASA) will benefit Jubilee. “Jubilee will register significant improvement compared to what it got in 2013.

If NASA agrees to support Musalia Mudavadi, he may disturb Jubilee but still we will get the lion’s share of the votes,” he said.
