Jubilee Party prepares for Mombasa primaries

Over 260 aspirants will battle for Jubilee tickets for various elective seats in Mombasa County in the party’s primaries on Friday, Jubilee’s top officials have announced.

The party denied claims that there were preferred candidates. Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal said the nomination process would be free, fair and credible, adding aspirants had no reason to worry.

He said the party would field candidates in all elective seats in Mombasa and across the Coast region and promised a bruising battle to remove Governor Hassan Joho. Shahbal is the presumptive candidate.
