Independent candidates successfully defend their bid

Mohamed Abdi Kuti – Isiolo

In Isiolo, Senator Mohamed Abdi Kuti who sought governorship as an independent candidate has floored the incumbent Godana Doyo Adhi with over 6,700 votes. Provisional results put Kuti at 41.81%  percent of the counted votes in 178 out of 195 polling stations.

Ndiritu Muriithi – Laikipia

Ndiritu Muriithi took the lead with 100,109 votes (50.47%) in Laikipia while the incumbent Joshua Wakahora Irungu of Jubilee came second with 98,233 (49.53%) in results from 530 out of 531 polling stations.
