Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi yesterday said he was confident of winning the county gubernatorial seat and only needed the support of the voters and God.

He was responding to a report that a juju man had attended his strategy meeting in Imenti South. “I have been meeting leaders from all the sub-counties and we had a successful discussion at South Imenti.

The ‘juju man’ in attendance was in jest. Our campaign is people-driven and led by God,” said Murungi. On Sunday, Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi amazed a crowd at Murungi’s Kiigene home at the weekend when he introduced a Meru witchdoctor who endorsed the senator’s bid.
