IDPs want compensation process suspended

Victims of the 2007-2008 post-election violence have claimed that some of the people being compensated were never affected by the clashes.

They now want the Government to suspend the ongoing compensation, demanding that the names of the beneficiaries be disclosed publicly.

Addressing the Press at Manera grounds in Naivasha, the group’s secretary general Steve Omondi said an IDP committee formed to spearhead the process was betraying them.
