Former Senator Hassan Omar steps down as Wiper Party Secretary General

Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has stepped down as Wiper Party Secretary General, cites private alternative ventures.

He stated that he will not support Raila Odinga in the repeat presidential election slated for October 17.

The party’s Chairman David Musila had earlier on also resigned following disputed nominations in the party for Kitui governorship seat.

Omar was Mombasa Senator for five years, before contesting incumbent Governor Hassan Joho in the 2017 election.
