There was chaos and fights this evening at Uhuru Park after some Jubilee supporters who had been promised KES 500 to attend Jubilee rally at the venue failed to get their token.
The supporters, many who had been ferried in buses from as far as Limuru, Rongai and Kiambu were frustrated after what they termed ‘frustrations’ by middle men who wanted to take the cut.
Later in the evening, convoys of buses were seen overloaded and over-speeding ferrying the supporters back home.
Jubilee is desperate to sell the impression of numbers in their campaigns and this time their efforts are in top gear as they literally have no backup plan.
In August, they were sure of a rigging and so could buy off crowds and tell off host population they will ‘still win without their votes’.
This time, the noose is very tight on their necks.
