Counties urged to adopt data storage

Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe

Counties have been urged to collect and publish key data on the first years of devolution to help subsequent authorities to develop accurate economic policies.

”There is a need to show not just how the money is distributed from the central government, but also how much is allocated for each function, which is important for transparency,” said the chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and Technology, Mutahi Kagwe, at the launch of a devolution data portal in Nairobi on Wednesday.
