Buuri MP: I will let voters decide my party for 2017

Despite efforts to woo Buuri MP Gatobu Kinoti into the Jubilee Party, the legislator is yet to make up his mind.

Mr Kinoti, who successfully ran as an independent candidate in the 2013 elections, said it was up to his constituents to decide which party he will run on in the 2017 polls.

“I will let residents decide which party ticket I will vie on. It is really up to them; whether I am in Jubilee, ODM or PNU,” said the youthful MP, adding that he was keeping off early campaigns until six months to the polls.

“I will start campaigns in March because at the moment, I am directing all my energy towards projects,” he said.

Kinoti said he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election because of his development agenda.
