Bomas of Kenya chosen as national tallying centre

Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi, which has been chosen as the national tallying centre for this year’s General Election, will be closed to the general public for two months starting on Saturday.

“The Bomas of Kenya has been selected as the national tallying centre for the August 8 election. We wish to inform our esteemed clients that we will remain closed to the public,” says a statement issued by the management on Wednesday.

It says: “We highly regret any inconvenience caused”.

Until September 1, only people accredited by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission will be allowed access to the cultural centre in Langata.

Bomas of Kenya was also the national tallying centre for the 2013 General Election.
