American Imam stranded at JKIA in Nairobi after being rejected by the US

An American Imam has been stranded at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for a week due to immigration issues; he was flying back to the US with his family.

A senior security official at the airport said he was aware there is an American stranded because his country had denied him.

“I am aware of some American who is unable to travel back to his country for more than a week because of immigration issues. Americans have said they don’t want him,” the officer said.
